Returning for our SEVENTH annual Begin with One team, this trip will continue to deepen our relationships and focus on serving 3 main ministry partners of Begin With One. The team will spend their time listening, learning, serving and showing love to orphans, widows and the vulnerable in a holistic, sustainable, empowering way.

In addition to serving at the Chapa HopeChest CarePoint in Awassa, southern Ethiopia, we will spend time going deeper with partners No Ordinary Love Ministries and Make Your Mark Ministries in the capital city, Addis Ababa.

The team will depart Washington Dulles airport on the 16th morning on Ethiopian Airlines and depart Addis Ababa, Ethiopia the night of the 25th, arriving back in the US on the 26th.

This trip can fill up quickly with trip alumni returning, but we will have room for a total of 15 people on the BWO team. Kombolcha

The Mission
We will continue to build relationships with the 165 children at our first CarePoint in Kombolcha, as well as the new Grace Baptist CarePoint! We want the kids to know they are cared for and loved not only by us, but by God. Over 5 days we will shower the children with love by spending time with them, playing games, and more. On our last day we will have a traditional feast with the children and staff. While in the captial city of Addis Ababa, the team will get to experience some of the culture and get a chance to shop at local markets.

Travel Details
We ask that all team members travel together departing from Washington Dulles on the 9th. We will arrive in Addis Ababa and spend the night. The next day we take the journey to Kombolcha by plane. You will be able to see the high and low lands of Ethiopia on the drive back to the capital after our time in Kombolcha. You will need to plan on departing Addis Ababa on the 19th evening, arriving back in DC on the 20th. We have made exceptions for those who might have to leave out the night of the 18th, but please do let us know if you plan to do so.

You do NOT have to be a child sponsor to go on this trip. However, all sponsors are invited and encouraged to meet their sponsor child.

Registration is now open. If you are interested in joining the team, please go to www.onechildcampaign.com to complete an online application. IF YOU ARE AN ALUMNI, YOU CAN PUT "ALUMNI" IN THE ONLINE APP, AND YOU'LL ONLY HAVE TO FILL OUT THE SHORT FORMS. We would be delighted to have you join us!
